What to Wear Wednesday

Wednesday, May 22, 2013

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Welcome to our 2nd What to Wear Wednesday post! Now, let's talk MAXI!

Maxi dresses and skirts are great for a lot of reasons, but most importantly COMFORT! You can easily dress maxis up with a bold necklace and wedges, or dress them down with sandals, boots, and a denim jacket! Another great thing about maxis is that they flatter all body types!

Makeup Monday!

Monday, May 20, 2013

Happy Monday everyone! Welcome to our first Makeup Monday post!  Every Monday we will post a new tutorial on different makeup trends that would be great for your Fresh Senior photo session!

Today, we chose an awesome picture of Emma Stone for our makeup inspiration!  Her makeup is very subtle but has great pops of color!  She looks young, vibrant, happy and FRESH!

We started by applying a liquid foundation to even the skin tone.  We used Maybelline FITme Foundation in 115 and added a little concealer under the eyes.  We set the foundation with Maybelline's Mineral Powder.

We filled in the eyebrows with a light brown eye brow pencil by Cover Girl.  Eye brows are VERY important facial features!  They frame your face!  So filling them in a little bit can go a long way! We kept the eye shadow very simple by using two neutral colors from Urban Decay's NAKED palet.  The lighter color we used as the base and brushed it over the whole eyelid.  The darker color we used in the outer corners of the lid.  This helps create dimension! To finish up the eyes, we used a liquid black eye liner pen, by Revlon, and added two coats of Rimmel mascara.  We put eyeliner above the top lash-line ONLY!  Keeping the bottom lash-line free of eyeliner opens up your eyes, making them appear bigger!

Next, we added light pink blush, by Clinique, to the apple of the cheeks!  Smiling while applying blush makes the apples easy to spot!

To finish it off we applied a pink lipstick, by Sephora, that enhanced the natural color of the lips!

There you have it!

Make sure you check back later this week for What to Wear Wednesday and Fixed Friday!

WHAT 2 WEAR WEDNESDAY!

SENIOR portraits are one of the last times you will have your picture made professionally {usually} until you get married.  Graduating High School is a defining moment in your life....It's a crossroads, so to speak...You're about to go out into the big bad world and discover who you are and who you want to be, all on your own.  Your parents, grandparents, other family members and friends are all excited about your big graduation and about seeing your Senior Pics!  This is when they see the young adult you've grown into and remember all the times they shared with you when you were little.  When you all look at your Senior images, the reaction should be nothing less than complete joy, happiness, and smiles beaming from ear to ear with pride!   Feeling ~proud of your accomplishments; ~ proud of who you've become;  ~ proud of what lies ahead.

For all these reasons, and more, it is IMPORTANT TO LOOK YOUR BEST!!  This includes DRESSING WELL, with outfits appropriate to your taste and your style.  And don't forget the hair!  It's just as important!  Trust me, you do not want to look back on these years from now and say to yourself, 'What was I thinking????
If you are not a fashion diva, (trust me, I am NOT either), why not let our stylist, Cameron,  help you pick out what you want to wear and/or style your hair and makeup?  She is here to help you be the BEST YOU for your senior shoot!  She is AWESome!

Here's a couple of ideas for a summer SENIOR portrait shoot.  If it's not your style, that's ok.  Maybe just check out how the colors and accessories coordinate to make a complete look for your shoot!

I'm in LOVE with these bracelets!!

Remember to Keep it Fresh!

BAM!

Wednesday, May 1, 2013

Ok, I'm somewhat new on twitter and instagram and now, I've started a blog and I can't remember (Yes, I know, hard to believe ;) what I've tweeted, posted on FB...shared on instagram....put on the blog???  so some things might be a repeat.. but that's ok....repeats aren't all bad...unless  it's the movie Prometheus!

How many times is HBO going to play that movie???   I still can't get the image of Michael Fassbender's robotic head lying on the floor and speaking out of my mind...UGH!... anyway,  some one needs to come up with an app that lets you hit one button and BAM...your posted on ALL of them!!  Lisa Bowles, I think that would be right up your husband, Brian's alley!  Get him on it!

Awesome shoot couple weeks back with the FRESH class of 2014 reps!  We did a "girls road trip-get lost  -stop in a field to figure it out" sort of concept, haha.    We even rented a '77 rag top VW Bug {which was amazing} to make it complete!  The owner, Dee Bruyere,  and her husband have put a lot of love and hard work into their new "baby" and it shows!  Here are some shots we ended up with after we battled the crisp wind and braved the tall, itchy weeds!  Whadaya think?

More of their 'field' pics coming soon!  XOXO
