Meet Alyssa....Class of Twenty 16!!

Tuesday, April 19, 2016

Chill & up for anything, Alyssa was a pure joy to shoot. It was one of those summer afternoons when thunderstorms loom on radar but you aren't sure if they're actually going to show, so I was like, "Well, should we postpone, should we chance it?" cause I don't want anyone having to spend $$$ on hair/makeup and then have rain crash the party like your boyfriend's ex & ruin all the fun....so, after weighing the odds & talking with Alyssa (who said we should go for it), we did! And never looked back!

She was natural & relaxed in front of the camera and completely killed her shoot!  I'm so glad I got to shoot your senior pics, Alyssa!  I have a feeling we would have hung out back in the day...you are Awesome & I know you are going to have a blast at school!  It's a short ride til graduation so slow down and enjoy these last memories you're making!  Naaaah, full speed ahead!!!

2 Sessions, that is.  Maddie did 2 separate sessions with 2 totally different vibes.  These are from the 1st.

When I first met with Maddie & her Mom to plan her session, they showed me a picture of an elegant floral evening dress she wanted to wear but needed ideas on where to shoot.  Immediately I thought of the *Morris Museum of Art.  I had been wanting to shoot there for some time & when I pictured this girl in this dress, I knew we could create some great images and had to make it happen.  So I called and talked with the powers to be, was given approval and Voila!  Here they are!

In the first set, she is wearing a tailored classic casual outfit that blended perfectly with the building the Museum is housed in.

Maddie, you are awesome and I'm so glad you did something unexpected for your Senior Pics!  Hope you are having a great Master's week!  Love you!

ps.
The Morris has some amazing art from a variety of artists & periods.  I even saw a piece by Jonathan Greene, whom my Mother & I love!  It's a great way to let your mind & imagination wander and I recommend everyone go & go often as they change out the artwork.  The museum gift shop has some cool stuff too!

*Thanks to Melinda Gales, Nicole McLeod, and their wonderful staff for all their help.
*Also, thanks to Maddie's Dad for his awesome reflector skills & her sister & mom for help with wardrobe changes :)
