Hello Banks! Graduating Class of 2017!

Wednesday, March 1, 2017

Fierce.  This girl is fierce, and in every way!  Don't let her big blue eyes & tiny frame fool you.  A triple threat athlete, [volleyball, basketball & soccer], she is fearlessly competitive.  She's an honors student at Prep, as well, & loved by everyone!  Strong, focused, & loved, that's Banks!

It was another hot summer day with barely a breeze.
We first went to a field and Bank's wore this really cute white shorts outfit.  I loved it!  It was great against the green of the trees & perfect with her tan, too!  We went on to shoot at a boardwalk on the Savannah and I remember the wind picking up & dark clouds rolling in behind.  Banks had changed and the color of the sky with the denim and plaid shirt colors looked so good, I couldn't have planned it better.  I thought it was going to storm, the changing tent blew into the marsh, but other than that, it was perfect! The white off shoulder top was classic and when she sat on the edge of the boardwalk for one shot, I thought I would die it was so perfect!!

Banks, you are amazing!  I'm so happy for you & am honored I got to shoot your Senior Portraits!  The year is winding down, but I know you are on your way to do great things!

Hello Mackenzie!! Class of 2 0 1 7!!

Monday, February 13, 2017

I've had the sweet pleasure of shooting this amazing senior since she was just a young girl.  I've shot her with her siblings several times, (including the mastif members of the family).  I especially remember shooting her and her horse when she was around 9, I think?  (is that close, Mackenzie? Sorry if I'm way off.  You know my brain, or should I say, lack of, haha.)  I remember how effortlessly she handled her horse and I could see she was completely in her element.  I remember how sweet & polite she was, how adorable she was and especially, her beautiful smile!

Well, she hasn't changed much! Her legs may be a tad longer (& we'd all kill for legs like these, right?) but, she's just as pretty, sweet and polite as then. These days, she's not just riding in fields, she's added kicking a soccer ball on one, too! Whether in cleats or heels, (or riding boots) she is graciously beautiful, inside and out!

We shot starting downtown on one of the hottest days of the summer.  Then headed over for some shots by a creek on some rocks and water.  There was a slight breeze when we were downtown, but when we went down into the creek, I'm telling you it was like a sauna.  No breeze.  None!!  Like a sauna, I'm telling you!  But she was a trooper, poor thing, and we got some gorgeous shots!

Mackenzie, I can't believe you'll be graduating in a few short months.  I'm so glad I know you (and your Mom!) and am so happy for you! I know wherever you go, you will be kind to others and have love in your heart. So see, you don't need good luck; you're already a success.  : )

This is Meredith!! Class of TWENTY SEVENTEEN!

Monday, January 23, 2017

I had so much fun shooting this sweetheart of a senior! When I first met her, I couldn't help but notice her gorgeous eyes & beautiful smile.  Just GAH!!
Then I found out she played piano & I thought, wow, gorgeous & talented.  & then when I heard her play, I flipped.  REALLY! Oh, and she's got the brains to match, so she's a tripple threat.
We shot her senior pics at her family's farm in Columbia County. We started inside with the piano. (this is when I flipped)  Then we headed outside and there were so many fabulous locations it was hard to decide where to start first! A thunderstorm was lurking but it made for some great wind shots! We got
some beautiful images with a large oak tree and the yellow wild flowers added just the right amount of charm for the shots in the field.  We also shot in the back of the house where a gazillion geese ran from us and we (well, it was Meredith, really) tried to corral a pair of wild peacocks for some shots but they were having none of it. We didn't need them, anyway, HA!

Congratulations, Meredith!  You've finally made it to the top!  I can't wait to see where life takes you!!
